“You’ve been naughty, so here’s the scoop. All you get for Christmas is snowman poop.”

It’s a little tacky, but people love to pay a couple of dollars for the “gift” idea. Very low overhead for this easy  fundraiser idea.

The Holiday crowds surrounding the mall gives even the most ardent shopper pause, which is where this fundraiser idea comes in. Advertise your services at church or work –two great places to find people who may know you and willing to pay a little for a BIG convenience.

Charge your fee per hour, with an additional fee for each separate location. Keep careful records of when and where you shopped. Offer add-on services like, gift wrapping, packaging gifts for mailing, and running to the post office.

Enlist the help of people who are willing to donate their time and sewing talents.  Put the word out that you can help sew those more intricate costumes, or make changes to make a costume more unique.  Many times, people look at costume patterns but aren’t experienced at sewing or just don’t have the time.  Yet, they still want something original to wear!  Many churches sponsor alternatives for a fall celebration, and there are often only spooky and questionable costumes to choose from.  Having the option for a tasteful and non-scary costume is very appealing…and worth the money! 

This is a good project for adults and seniors. Make sure to set this up by early September because it takes time.  All parties will benefit from this creative fundraiser!

Put out flyers on local bulletin boards or post online advertising your rates. Charge a fee based on the type of party or event requested and be on hand to direct guests and keep the event running smoothly. Your flyer can list the specific activities and functions included in your repetoire.  Be clear in all advertising that this is a fundraiser.

Gather a group of “handymen”, professional or not, and other “do-it-yourselfers”.  Brainstorm common tasks to be offered, and list the services that will be won on your flyer.  Decide the number and levels of winners – one big winner, and you may want to include other smaller prizes(i.e. 1lawn mowing) in this easy fundraiser.

In a silent auction, bids are written on a sheet of paper.  The auction is “silent” because there is no auctioneer. Have the pages in front of the item for auction or at least a photo, and an attendant at each table. At the end of the appointed auction, the highest bidder wins the item!

Make sure to publicize this event in the local papers & pass out flyers advertising which cause you are supporting.

Have gamer champions square off for a title.  This will be an irresistible draw for serious gamers of all ages!

Have prizes ready, such as gift cards or a game of choice for players on each platform.  Up your fundraising money by having a  concession stand.  Be sure to advertise your event, and state which cause the event is benefiting.

Organize a drive for donations of still-stylish duds. Use flyers and posters to get the word out…Requesting clean and gently worn clothing for use in a resale fundraiser.

Next, organize and tag goods for your sale. If you receive any items you won’t be able to use, check with your local charitable organization to see if they might have need for them.

Recruit helpers to run the rummage event, and make sure everyone knows it’s to benefit your project. Make sure to heavily publicize the event, and spin it as a fun time.  You could even combine this with another event such as a wine tasting, or a dessert event.

This community fundraiser will raise money for your cause PLUS kids can cheer on their favorite grownup. A nice twist would be to have older kids administer the tests and be included in the judging panel. Set an entrance fee of $20. Get sponsors for Adults aged 21 or older in a Spelling Competition. Use words found on spelling word websites and in official spelling bee guide books.

If set up through a school, each class can have 2-3 adults represent the class, raising money through competitive sponsorship. Additional funds can be raised from concessions sold during the bee.

The event can offer makeovers for a small donation to your cause, and the rep can still take orders.  Or, you may ask for a small portion of the proceeds.  Discuss this with the rep to agree on the best course of action.

You could also hold a raffle and the winner receives a makeover plus some new cosmetics.  Additionally, the cosmetics rep can offer a discount for the winner’s prize in exchange for a little more exposure!
