Nothing says summer more than a good old corn roast so why not use this as your next fundraiser.
The profits can be substantial if you contact a local farmer to get a load of sweet corn for the event. You can usually sell an ear of roasted corn for $2 – $3. Other items needed include a way to roast the corn, napkins, butter, salt and pepper. For smaller events, you can rent a portable corn roast that will roast 2 – 3 dozen ears at a time. Larger events will want to set up a larger roasting area and enlist the help of more volunteers to have everything flow well.
