Here is a unique….and very loose……take on the progressive dinner trend:

• Gather several volunteers who you consider to be good cooks.
• Ask them to agree to prepare their “signature dish” en masse. If they are willing they can donate their supplies, but if it too costly, have them submit their receipts.
• Provide each volunteer with quality take out containers, and decide on a price list for each entree
• Print up a menu with prices and a time where the food can be picked up. Make sure to clearly state where the proceeds will go. You can include ideas for people to consider such as “stock up for winter….prepare for company….pot luck preparedness, etc…)
• Distribute wherever and whenever you can!

*As a side note, if you have access to any large freezer space, you may want to offer this as a service for a certain time period: for instance, market to people in the busy summer months when people are looking for time saving ideas. Or, keep it ongoing through the winter when people would love to simply heat up a warm meal. Use your creative instincts!
