“No Talent” Show

For those of us who weren’t blessed with stage-worthy singing voices, typical talent shows can be pretty intimidating.  How about hosting a “no talent” show.  All you need to do is rent (or even buy if this event may be repeated) a decent karaoke machine, set up a “stage” area (or do it at a local establishment), and secure some light-hearted judges.  This is particularly fun for high school and college-age groups, but anyone can have a great time with it!  This will be lots of laughs for all involved!

You can turn this into a fundraiser a couple of different ways:

  1. Charge entrants a small fee to participate and award a portion of the proceeds to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
  2. Have the audience vote for their favorite performer. They vote with dollars though. Have a jar set up for each performer and people can vote by dropping in change and dollars. The person with the most money in the jar at the end of the evening is crowned the winner.
