Here is a very simple and inexpensive fundraiser! This works best with a teen group & during warmer months. There are many busy people that simply run out of time to mow their lawn. A gardener is a luxury that not everyone can afford. However, hiring a local teen to mow their lawn and support a cause at the same time is an easier expense to justify!
- Enlist the help of several responsible teens (over 14 would be best) who have access to their own lawnmowers
- Pass out fliers and advertise in the local paper
- Decide whether you will offer this service as a one time deal, or as an ongoing spring/summer maintenance (Keep in mind: This will depend on your workforce!)
This is a great, hands-on way for teens looking to raise the funds to pay their own way for a mission or school trip. Just make sure that it is apparent to your supporters (and the teens) where their contribution is applied!
