Here is a great creative event for any youth group! Secure a date, a time frame (typically at least 4 hours) and a location. Churches or community halls are a great place for this event to be held. Enlist the participation of responsible youths over the age of 13 to sign up for shifts. Make sure that you have adequate adult supervision as well. It is also a good idea to ask for snack donations for the children. Publicize to the community through local papers & flyers that you will be having a “Parents Night Out” and that responsible babysitting will be provided. It is very important to have an RSVP number, and an age limit! Also, it will need to be decided if you will have a charge per hour, or simply say that a free-will donation is accepted. Make sure that there are activities provided for the entertainment of the children…and for crowd control!
