Spring is in the air! Each week as I stop by the grocery store there’s a group of one form or another out front raising money for their cause. This week it was a group of girl scouts raising money for the local humane society. They were selling “puppy chow” to everyone walking by. Puppy chow, also known as Chex Muddy Buddies, is a snack food kids and adults alike love to eat. The girls had made a big batch of it, packaged it in ziplock bags, and were selling it for a $1 a bag. What I noticed most was the people stopping by their table. Some bought a bag for a $1, but many gave more than a dollar, or gave without taking the product. The girls were having a great time and those giving a donation were impressed by their enthusiam and spirit. Whatever the amount of money raised – this fundraising idea was a success!
