• Decide on the type of lollipop you want to make….chocolate? caramel? hard candy?  Look on the internet to get good ideas.
• Buy celophane bags, and thick paper or wooden sticks, and pretty ribbon at a craft or cooking store
• Ask other group supporters to help you make the lollipops
• Decide on a price for the finished product
• Sell at home events, the office, grocery stores, etc…

Decide on a list of services to be provided such as; flower bed clean up, lawn thatching, trash and animal waste pick up, readying planter beds for new plants, and even spring flower planting.  These are all good ideas because they require very little experience on the part of the volunteer.  It’s just simple labor!

You will need to determine what and how much your services will be.  This will depend on your volunteer base.  Distribute the flyers wherever you can, always making sure to make it clear what you are raising funds for.  Consider asking your local home improvement centers if they would allow you to pass out the flyers at their location of if they would display it on a bulletin board.

You should be able to find all the necessary items at your local craft store.  Make sure to purchase high quality products such as paint that will not chip, strong magnets and pretty tiles.  If you are a creative person, there are several other types of magnets that can be made.  For instance, you can make magnets from different materials such as wood, cardstock or fabric pieces. 

 I would suggest that you incorporate your groups theme, name or mascot into the finished product as a daily reminder to your supporters of what you are raising money for.   Sell the magnets for a price that you decide on at home events, to friends, family and group supporters.  You could even offer to gift bag/box them for an additional $1.

First, decide on a location – a park, a community hall, etc.  Second, ask friends, family and group supporters to make their favorite pasta dish.  Anything goes, as long as it is based around pasta! (think macaroni or tortellini salad, moms favorite mac-n-cheese, or stroganoff…..)  Third, purchase plates, utensils and drinks and decide on an admission price per person.  Fourth, put out the word!

• Enlist the help of several willing volunteers
• Have each person whip up a bowl of their favorite cookie dough or other baked goods
• You will also need to get the baking directions for each type and attach them to the container (or write with a sharpie)
• Provide each with a few disposable tupperware type containers.  Be sure to keep the size consistent You may want to charge by the size of the container rather that a dozen/loaf/pan. 
• Advertise that you will be selling home-made dough and batter for baked goods. You will also want to make sure that you set up a table at community functions, such as after church services, sporting events, plays, etc…
• Make sure to note several uses on your advertising  such as: hostess gifts, teacher & co-worker gifts, cookie exchanges, etc…

 Making the cookie dough yourself, or having it donated by volunteers, will bring greater profits to your organization.

 “You’ve been naughty, so here’s the scoop. All you get for Christmas is snowman poop.”

It’s a little tacky, but people love to pay a couple of dollars for the “gift” idea. Very low overhead for this easy  fundraiser idea.

Contact businesses and individuals to offer your services in posting an American flag on their property for each of the patriotic holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Flag Day, Veteran’s Day, Presidents Day). Sign an annual contract with each property owner that states for an upfront donation to your organization, you will provide a flag and the labor to hang the flag before the holiday and take it down after the holiday.

Charge $100 for the year. Renew the contract at the beginning of each year to keep the fundraiser going.

A supply of flags can be purchased at retail outlets or online. The easiest kind to deal with would be ones that can be stuck in the ground so you don’t need to worry about flag poles.

The week before the holiday, enlist the help of volunteers to hang the flags (and remove them). You’ll need somewhere to store the flags between holidays.

This would be the perfect fundraiser for a group of boy or girl scouts. I’ve seen it done by the American Legion, Optmists, and Lions club too.

Families will love your efforts to relieve their stress and will welcome the opportunity to support your school at the same time.

Potluck-style meals typically go over well or you can provide grilled food. Don’t foget the s’mores for dessert! I also recommend planning a few activities such as scavenger hunts, nature hikes or crafts.

(1) Getting started: place a jar in each classroom. Classrooms can decorate jars however they wish. Bigger jars or even ice cream buckets work nicely.
(2) Scoring: for every penny added to the jar, the classroom gets one point; for every nickel, dime or quarter added to the jar, the classroom loses points according to the coin value; for every dollar in the classroom jar, the classroom loses 100 points. Kids and teachers can place money in any jar they want, with the goal of maximizing their on classroom points.
(3) Tallying: points can be calculated on a daily basis or tallied at the end of the war.
(4) The classroom with the most points at the end of the war will win something special — pizza parties, popcorn parties and movies are popular choices.
