How many times do we see parents in the stands of a game, trying to “coach” their children on what to do or how to play?

Here is a fundraiser that could switch the roles, or let the parents put their words into actions, while raising money for a specific organization or school team. The idea is to set up a match between the players and the parents (after the season would make sure that no one missed out on a regular season game/match if an injury occurred). All monies earned from ticket sales, concessions, raffles, etc., goes to the organization running the event.

It could be come an annual event with the winners having bragging rights for an entire year.

Why not take advantage of all those crazy game shows we see on “reality” television and make some money for your group? Host a Wacky Game Show…or come up with a snazzy name of your own. Have entries pay a small entrance fee (or a donation) to compete for a “prize”. Think of 4-5 challenges that are fun to watch (think 3 legged races, eggs on a spoon, balloons filled with shaving cream or even wading pools filled with jello?!?) Advertise your “game show.” This would be especially fun with a youth or sports group. You can have a cash prize, a gift or even make the prize a pie in the face of the coach, or something silly like that.
