Most women love a “girls night”. How about capitalizing on that fact to earn cash for your group? Host a Wedding Dress Fashion Show & “Poetry” Extravaganza!
- Gather 20 willing volunteers who can still fit into their wedding dresses
- Ask each of them to model their wedding dresses, as well as read a piece of “poetry” that reminds them of their marriage. This can be a joke, a funny story,a poem,a love letter. Anything that comes to mind for that person! The more eclectic, the better entertainment value!
- Decide on a place….a community hall, a church, etc.
- GET THE WORD OUT!
- Consider purchasing desserts and coffee, or ask several other people to volunteer to bring a dessert to keep your costs down.
Have fun with this! It will be a great time as well as a money maker for your group!
